The role is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of all relevant deliverables and system solutions for all assigned initiatives, while identifying and developing process and solution improvement opportunities and serves as a subject matter expert for these solutions for specified functional areas, divisions, tools, or other defined domains.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead or directly participate in the design, development, deployment, and transition of solutions to address business requirements.
  • Decide the design and lead or directly perform the build, integration and implementation data solutions in data warehouse or advanced analytics platform.
  • Understand and promote ETL standards and governance.
  • Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for relevant modern data integration and the tools used (Python, Databricks, Airflow/Astronomer, Dash, DBT etc.)
  • Through hands-on delivery roles on projects and in other ways (training, networking, participation in user groups, etc.) build relationships with users, and acquire knowledge of additional tools and functional/geographic domains. Drive for continuous improvement and standardization in designated domains. Engage to fill critical gaps on projects, to respond quickly to crises, to help put troubled projects back on the right track, and to serve as a point of escalation for the support (Run) team.

SKILLS & RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL and familiarity with relevant data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark).
  • Strong understanding of data warehouses, data modeling concepts, and data warehousing principles.
  • Experience with ETL tools (e.g., DBT, Informatica, BODS) and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow) for building and managing data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and their data services for scalable and reliable data storage and processing.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira).
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members. Very good command of English language.
