As a Data Engineer, you will build and maintain the essential data pipelines and data-driven business processes that underpin our rapidly expanding data platform. To achieve this, you will collaborate closely with other experienced data engineers – and our analysts, data scientists, data partners, and clients. Your contributions will be essential to the continued growth and success of our data platform, and you will play a pivotal role in shaping its future direction.
This will be a hybrid role in our Pune office.
What You’ll Do
- Support critical data pipeline operations
- Monitor and analyze operational telemetry, to ensure high service levels
- Design and develop reliable and scalable ETLs with Python and SQL
- Make delivery commitments, regularly communicate progress, and take ownership of outcomes
- Support the team in meeting their commitments, with a focus on code quality and reliability
- Promote effective communication, recognition, feedback, and knowledge sharing within the team
- Support analysts with query performance and troubleshooting
What You Have
- Advanced fluency with SQL and a knowledge of data architecture patterns and practices
- Experience with modern cloud data warehouses, such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery
- Expertise with Python or another high-level language
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience with service level metrics and goals, a plus!
- Meticulous, organized, proactive, and a critical thinker with a high level of attention to detail
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting data pipelines in a production environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
