Additionally, we work together with the internal PowerBI team on data reporting, primarily with database connections to our in-house applications. We strive to provide Credera with reliable, forward-looking solutions using the latest technologies, while supporting both internal and public-facing endeavours to help achieve the company’s overall goals.

Summary of Position
Credera is seeking an experienced Data Engineer who is responsible for designing and implementing powerful reporting systems and enhanced data workflows and structures. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the reporting systems and environments, data models, collaborating with team members within Application Development, and working with business stakeholders to ensure we are meeting Credera’s reporting needs. This individual would partner with the PowerBI team to design, implement, and enhance our reports and reporting tools. You will perform technical research to see how using new technologies or tools would potentially benefit our existing data management ecosystem.
In this role, you’ll evaluate our existing data model for improvements, while also building out new workflows and processes to enhance our reporting and data development lifecycle. Strong technical writing skills will be expected to thoroughly document report structures, data models, and integrations with other systems. The position requires a friendly, collaborative, and innovative individual who is ready to learn and excited to join a growing team.

Must have 3+ years of experience in database development, particularly with SQL, for designing and optimizing database structures and excellent communication and analytical skills
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, including data storage and processing services like Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse Analytics
Proficiency in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools for data integration and transformation
Understanding of data modeling concepts and experience with data modeling tools
Familiarity with data warehousing principles and methodologies

Preferred:
Experience with version control and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes, preferably using Azure DevOps.
