About the role:
The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing database solutions to support for large-scale applications, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. This role involves working closely with the development team, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand application requirements and provide guidance on data modeling and database design ensuring data integrity, performance, and security of various database solutions.

About the team:

Leading and executing on various BPS initiatives related to Payments and Core Integrations.

What you will be doing:
• Design and implement database solutions based on business requirements.
• Develop database architecture strategies at the modelling, design, and implementation stages to address business or industry requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to plan, design, and implement database changes.
• Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of the databases.
• Conduct data modelling and database design.
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions.
• Implement and maintain database security measures.
• Perform database performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Plan and implement data migrations and database upgrades.

What you will need:
• Oracle, Java, SQL, SWIFT, ACH, RTGS, RTP (Real-Time Payments), UNIX, API’s

• Experience with end-to-end systems development life cycles and standards.
• Knowledge of financial industry practices, regulations and operations.
• Fluency in sequence diagrams, class models, etc.
• Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines.
• A bachelor’s in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or equivalent experience.
