Job Description

Role Overview:
As a Data Engineer,, your main responsibility will be to enhance and streamline how data is structured and delivered to our Microsoft-driven platform’s UI. Working closely with product, UX, and development teams, you will optimize data pipelines and ensure seamlessv integration with front-end technologies like Azure, Power BI, and other Microsoft tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain efficient data pipelines, ensuring structured, clean, and accessible data from PowerPages and other sources, including APIs and databases.
- Collaborate with data analysts to optimize pipelines for analytics, ensuring clean, structured data is readily available for insights.
- Collaborate with UI/UX and front-end development teams to integrate data effectively into the user interface, improving data presentation.
- Leverage Microsoft technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Power BI, to manage and visualize data effectively.
- Optimize data storage, retrieval, and performance to ensure smooth interaction between the backend and front-end (Microsoft-based) systems.
- Implement robust ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and other Microsoft solutions to manage data flow from various sources into the platform.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across the platform’s data pipelines through established quality measures.
- Proactively troubleshoot data pipelines and resolve data-related issues, ensuring consistent, high-quality data delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data engineering efforts with business and platform goals.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Microsoft technologies and best practices in data engineering.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with expertise in working on Microsoft-based platforms.
- Strong proficiency with SQL and experience working with Microsoft databases like Azure SQL or SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Power BI, or similar Microsoft tools for data integration and visualization.
- Experience in programming languages like Python, .NET, or PowerShell for data processing.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure, including storage solutions like Azure Data Lake.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing principles within Microsoft environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with front-end data integration using Microsoft technologies, such as Power BI or custom dashboards built on Microsoft frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and DevOps tools within the Azure ecosystem.
- Knowledge of data visualization libraries and frameworks compatible with Microsoft technologies.
- Understanding of machine learning pipelines and data-driven decision-making models in a Microsoft environment.
