Data Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement advanced data-driven solutions to complex problems.
- Lead the development and optimization of our data processing pipelines using Apache Spark.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python and SQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide expert guidance on data modeling, analysis, and engineering solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data science and software engineering to drive innovation within the team.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience in data science and software engineering. Strong programming fundamentals, with proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Demonstrated experience with Apache Spark, including building scalable data processing pipelines and data modeling. Familiarity with machine learning algorithms, and statistical analysis is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex issues that require in-depth analysis and evaluation.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and DevOps tools is a plus.
