Job Description
We are seeking a new team member to join the Research Portal Denmark team. We are the developers of a national infrastructure that hosts an expanding array of databases, enabling open and robust overviews, insights, and analyses of Danish research.
Are you passionate about developing open-source software for research information infrastructures, working closely with a global community of developers and data providers? - We will further develop our retrieval systems and analytical tools in terms of capacity and usability.
- Our server and security infrastructures will grow to meet increasing demands.
Qualifications
- A relevant IT education and substantial experience in related roles.
- Expertise in data engineering, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
- Strong experience with databases like MongoDB, Neo4J, and SQLite.
- Experience in indexing using Apache Solr or Elasticsearch.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Google Data Studio, and VOSViewer.
- Outstanding problem-solving and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for data and a commitment to maintaining data quality.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to rethink and improve existing processes.
We will review all CVs, and while experience in the relevant areas will be a significant plus, we are also looking for quick learners who are committed and eager to familiarize themselves with new areas. We will ensure you get a good start with the team’s tasks.
