AGCO is looking to hire candidates for the position of Senior Data Engineer. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with extensive experience in cloud platforms and data engineering tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS and Databricks. Google Cloud Platform is a big plus with hands-on experience in S3, Redshift, Glue and BigQuery (BQ). The candidate should have a proven track record of working on data enablement projects across various data domains and be familiar with the Data as a Product approach.
Your Impact
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
- Implement and manage data storage solutions S3, Redshift and Delta Tables.
- 5+ years of experience AWS cloud services and data related components (S3,
- Lambda, Glue, Athena, Step Functions, Cloudwatch Events, Redshift, RDS, SNS and SES).
- Leverage Databricks for advanced data processing, including the development and optimization of data workflows, jobs, and Delta Tables.
- Monitor and optimize Databricks performance, including cluster management, resource utilization, and Delta Table optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data enablement projects.
- Apply the Data as a Product / Data as an Asset approach to ensure data quality and usability.
- 5+ years of experience in Analytical software/language skills (Spark, Python, R, SQL, SAS).
- Experienced in CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.
- Experienced in Scrum teams and contribute to agile development processes
- Experience in Data Streaming is a plus (Kafka or Spark Streaming).
- Working with other ETL/ELT tolls is a plus (for example Qlik Replicate, SAP Data Services or Informatica)
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Strong experience with AWS and Databricks.
- Proficiency in data modelling and designing efficient data structure.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- At least one Certifications in AWS or Databricks in Cloud Engineering or Data
- Services or Cloud Practitioner or Certified Data Engineer or related/equivalent MOOCs.
