Data Engineer Intern (Mandarin Speaker) – 6 Months – WFH

Qualifications

Qualifications:• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, Statistics or equivalent 

Technical Requirements:

• Good understanding of different database technologies like RDBMS or NoSQL 

• Experience with building ELT + ETL data pipelines is preferred 

• Experience in scripting tools such as Python, Spark and SQL is preferred 

• Familiar with data analytics and data visualization such as PowerBI 

Non-Technical Requirements:

• Bi-lingual in English and Mandarin 

• Ability to work independently and experience working as part of a global team on projects with professionals at all levels 

• Strong commitment to professional and service excellence 

• Excellent oral/written communication, planning, project management, networking and influencing skills 

• Strong analytical skills and logical approach 

• Eager to learn and apply new technologies 

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to design and build scalable end to end data pipelines from multiple sources and system. 

• Drive the technical design and implementation of large scale data platforms, utilizing modern technologies in a cloud environment 

• Ability to provide cost effective, secure and scalable solution which is operationally efficient 

• Develop and implement methods to improve data reliability & quality 

• Implement and manage company data management practices and policies 

• Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements
