Job Description

We are seeking a top candidate to join our team as Data Engineer – KPI Management and Reporting.

Compensation:
COP 10M – 13M/month.

Location:
Hybrid (El Poblado, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia).

What makes you a strong candidate:

  • You are proficient data engineering, ETL (Extract, transform, load), Microsoft Azure, and SQL.
  • Spanish – Native or fully fluent.
  • English – Native or fully fluent.

Responsibilities and more:
We seek a detail-oriented and proactive Data Engineer to optimize the collection, calculation, and reporting of key business KPIs. In this role, you will collaborate with department leaders to define strategic metrics, automate data workflows, and create actionable visualizations for executives and investors.

  • Define and align KPIs with sales, marketing, operations, and finance leaders.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across metrics.
  • Develop and optimize automated data pipelines from databases, APIs, and external tools.
  • Implement systems for automated KPI calculations and updates.
  • Design dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to facilitate decision-making.
  • Present clear, data-driven reports with strategic insights to executives and investors.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data infrastructure and implement industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, data analysis, or a related role.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency and experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
  • Experience with ETL, data warehousing, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation and pipeline automation.
  • Ability to integrate CRM, financial tools, and web analytics into cohesive reporting systems.
  • Advanced Excel and strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
