For our Italian holding of wefox AG – Wefox Services Italy – we are currently looking for a Data Engineer who will be involved in challenging projects.
In this role, you will
- Interact with the product and development team to improve current innovation projects and launch new ones using our Data Architecture methodology and culture.
- Be working side by side with a multidisciplinary and multicultural team distributed among our different offices around Europe, with Platforms and Engineering stakeholders, and with your Data colleagues collaborating on the team’s transversal projects that consist of standardizing procedures and tools to make data available.
- Design, build, and maintain data pipeline. Track and monitor platforms’ behavior, and utilize configuration management tools to automate, build and deploy processes. You will also design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes and implement systems that are highly available and scalable.
- Create a culture data-centric to maximize data gathering, transformation, and normalization to make data available to make a business decision and embrace a new culture of data across all companies.

What you bring:
- Hands-on data ingestion tool (dbt, sqitch)
- Hands-on data platforms like data warehouse and data lake tools (snowflake, Amazon Redshift, big Query)
- well-known pipeline ETL / ELT create, maintain, and migrate between tech stack. (logstash, dbt, sqitch, aws data pipeline)
- Well-known Python scripting for data manipulation
- Hands-on creating queries for retrieval, manipulation and building data to support analytics tools or analyst teams as well as data scientist teams.
