Our new Data Engineer will be working within our core Digital and Marketing teams leveraging data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and propel our success story forward.

Where and how you can work…

We have offices in Auckland, Wellington, Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. We value a flexible work environment and support a hybrid working model, allowing employees to spend two days a week at the office, ensuring work-life balance and individual preferences. This role will be based in Brisbane.

Your day-to-day…

• Assist in troubleshooting and fixing erroneous values in assets (DB objects, scripts, jobs, queries, reporting) as they arise during BAU.
• Working with business owners, analysts, and developers to design implementation plans for new data integrations that will ultimately feed towards reporting and internal application needs.
• Continuously develop and improve the current ETL/ELT framework that pumps data to and from our database from various external and internal sources.
• Build solutions in BigQuery, Snowflake, SQL Server, and Azure Platform.
• Ensure data is up to date and available for consumption for our reporting suite in Power BI, data for our CRM system and other internal application tools.
• Provide quality assurance of the data being used and ETLs/ELTs jobs established.

You’re a match if you ideally have…

• Previous experience working with data integrations and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Passionate about everything data and is precise about the outputs they deliver.
• Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud is advantageous.
• Building solutions using a cloud-hosted relational database like Snowflake, BigQuery or similar.
• Hands-on exposure working on data integration projects.
