Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR Data Engineer to join our People Analytics team. This role is critical in building and maintaining our people data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with expertise in setting up APIs, ETL processes, and building data pipelines and tables that support our HR analytics initiatives. You will collaborate closely with the enterprise applications, HRIS, and other data teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with audits. This role will report to the Director of People Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for HR data
  • Set up and manage APIs for data integration across various HR systems, with primary focus on Workday.
  • Build and optimize data tables and schemas in our data warehouse (Snowflake)
  • Conduct regular data audits and implement data quality measures.
  • Collaborate closely with enterprise application, HRIS, and other data teams across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data processes and architectures.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) to create insightful reports and dashboards that inform decision-making.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests and analytics projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role, preferably within HR or People Analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases and data warehousing technologies.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and processes; experience with Snowflake is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation.
