Position Summary

Role and Responsibilities

  • Development, test and maintenance of Big data architecture in AWS/GCP
  • Development of monitoring tool of Analytics application using Java or Python
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues in the data pipeline
  • Write large amounts of code, perform code reviews, write unit tests
  • Create quick prototypes and proof-of-concepts applications
  • Actively participate in an Agile team
  • Research new approach, solutions, and architecture that can contribute to the project’s improvement and evolution
  • Ideate, innovate, and implement improvements and automation of current systems and processes

Skills and Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience working in data warehousing, data architecture and/or data engineering environments at an enterprise scale
  • Experience in managing Big Data Services in  AWS  (or GCP)
  • Experience implementing and working with workflow scheduler like   Airflow, Oozie 
  • Python  (Pyspark) programming experience is necessary
  • Experience writing complex SQL  (MySQL, Postgres, Hive, etc)  queries
  • Experience in creating API services using Kubernetes is a plus
  • Advance knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git
  • Knowledgeable on web security and performance
  • BS, MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with technical and business partners
  • Able to work independently on assigned research topic and share output by writing research papers, conducting lecture sessions and demos
  • Can easily adapt to latest technologies and tools
  • Willing to learn and solve highly challenging algorithm coding problems in Java/C++
