Job Description
Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Data Engineer – Sr. Consultant level (multiple openings) in Atlanta, GA to
• Lead a team of data engineers in designing, creating, and maintaining data pipelines for B2B Connect, a global cross-border payment platform.
• Work with structured/unstructured client data to build data models and applications that enable near real-time settlement and reconciliation of payments.
• Assist in scoping and designing solutions for enhancements to the payment platform.
• Execute data engineering projects ranging from small enhancements to large extensions of platform capabilities.
• Identify opportunities for future technical enhancements.
• Identify opportunities for improving development methodologies.
• Perform data governance, system infrastructure, and other cross-team functions on an as-needed basis.
• Interact with business units to define requirements and use cases to utilize in designing appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Software Engineers, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new data driven business solutions.
• Position reports to the Employer’s Atlanta, Georgia office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
- Distributed software development.
- Java, C++, Go, Scala, or Python
- Linux, Open Source, and client-server applications.
- Container strategies and ecosystems such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Test Automation
- Distributed Ledger
Additional Information
Worksite: Atlanta, GA
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $137,300.00 USD to $219,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
