Salary £55,000 – £70,000
Are you someone with a passion for Data Engineering and an expert at leveraging data to drive business insights? If so, we’re seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Data Engineering Platform Manager.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and optimisation for our Customer Data Platforms to ensure smooth and efficient data workflows. If you’re ready to take on the challenge of driving innovation and excellence in data management, this is the role for you.
A bit about the job:
This role resides in the newly created Single View of Customer (SVOC) platform team, which supports the distribution of unified customer data, for use within analytics, data science, servicing, marketing and operations.
The successful candidate will have oversight and accountability of all platform activities and will be shaping the future strategy of the platform. You will get the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders within Aviva to understand business priorities and deliver outcomes that delight our customers. The platform manager has direct line management responsibility of the platform lead, operations lead and the technical team, which includes architecture, design and engineering.
We are constantly modernising our complex data estate and play an important part in all Aviva teams achieving strategic targets, whilst supporting business self-service where possible. Skills and experience we’re looking for:

Proficient in change delivery, ensuring seamless transitions and effective implementation of data engineering solutions.

The ability to develop and execute data engineering strategies aligned with organisational goals and industry best practices.

Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management and influencing skills to garner support for data engineering initiatives.

Strong leadership capabilities to guide and inspire team members towards achieving data engineering objectives.

Starting salary between £55,000 – £70,000 (depending on skills, experience, and qualifications)

Bonus opportunity – 12% of annual salary – Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s
