Job Description

Dew Software is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Data Extractor (ETL Programmer)/DBA Coder to join our dynamic team. As a Data Extractor (ETL Programmer)/DBA Coder, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining efficient and reliable ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into databases. Additionally, you will also be involved in database administration tasks, ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our clients’ databases.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ETL workflows using industry-leading tools and technologies.
  • Extract data from various sources, transform and cleanse data as per business requirements.
  • Load data into target databases, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
  • Optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
  • Perform database administration tasks, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security management.
  • Monitor database systems for performance issues and troubleshoot when necessary.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to ETL workflows and database administration processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in ETL and database technologies.

Requirements

  • Provide conversion support to banks and credit unions by building data requirements for extracting and transforming donor source data into DNA Oracle standard schema
  • Interpret binary data and match the data to the donor file descriptions at the bit level
  • Examine data received from Clients and ensure that loading data is received (data, trial balance reports, file layouts)
  • Identify data formats, data types and new/repeat data sources
  • Create conversion scripts using SQL, LDR (Oracle Loader) and OC2 (Internal OSI Tool)
  • Identify layout changes and communicate this information to team members
  • Be familiar with source control systems, primarily TFS and Git, and utilize text editor tooling such as Beyond Comprate, UltraEdit, Notepad++, etc.

Benefits

  • Bachelor’s degree in CIS/MIS, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics or related field
  • 5 or more years of experience in IT or Business Analysis
  • 5 or more years of experience in PLSQL, COBOL, Mainframe applications, IBM JCL, and TSO/TPX
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite with heightened focus on VBA, Access, Excel, and SQL
  • Experience in a client-facing and stakeholder management role
  • Understanding of the Issuing Industry and associated business function
  • Experience with testing and validation of output, reports, and financial balancing
