Job Description

The Nokia Digital Office balances short-term needs with long-term goals. Within it, the Enterprise Chief Data Office (ECDO) drives Nokia’s data strategy, providing modern technologies, platforms, and expertise in data management, machine learning, and governance.

The Data Governance and Architecture team defines Nokia’s data governance practices and architecture for Master Data Management, Advanced Analytics, and AI.

As a Data Governance Engineer, you’ll help implement Data Governance tools and practices, supporting Nokia’s Data & AI strategy and guiding teams on their data journey.

To achieve your mission, you will work closely with the Data Governance team in place, primarily on Data Catalog & Data Access Tools. Your activities will include:

  • Contribute to the implementation of Nokia Data Governance tooling and to their integration with Nokia applications. 
  • Investigate features delivered by the market and understand how to leverage them for the benefits of Nokia stakeholders.
  • Analyze & translate technical requirements into implementable software designs and configurations. 
  • Develop technical solutions, be responsible for the quality of their development and their deployment, maintain and evolve these solutions over time.
  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders in Nokia Business teams in order to understand their needs, identify enhancement opportunities, support their usage of the data governance tools, and promote Nokia Data Governance practices across Nokia.
  • Collaborate with Application owners and technical experts to develop and integrate the Data Governance tooling into the overall Nokia Landscape. 
     

Competences

  • Experience with PowerApps, Power Platform, or low-code development tools.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python and basic understanding of HTML/CSS
  • Familiarity with UI/UX principles, including layout, color schemes, responsive design, and accessibility.
  • Familiarity with approval workflows and related automation.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem implementation (e.g., SharePoint)
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview or Other data governance and metadata management tool/ project (would be a plus)
  • Experience or Knowledge in data pipelines development (ETL/ELT) and automation (would be a plus)
  • Experience in building and deploying solutions in Azure cloud (would be a plus)

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer science, Information Management, Data Science or related disciplines
  • 2+ years of experience
