Overview:
How you’ll make an impact:
- Develop and deploy aligned divisional processes, templates and dashboards for bringing best-in-class data analytic solutions to drive improved decision making and business performance for our clients;
- Support creation of ad hoc queries and deliver custom reporting / analyses and presentations using SQL, web-based query builders from approved data warehouses, Microsoft Excel or other analytic tools;
- Work collaboratively with Financial & Actuarial Consulting and branch account team members to determine clients’ analytics needs and deliver meaningful and actionable reporting and analytics solutions;
- Support key prospect targets with data-driven insights, as needed;
- Work closely with Data & Insights Lead, as well as the Director, Insights & Analysis and other key stakeholders to develop, improve and build upon our toolbox of benefits-focused analytic deliverables across the division;
- Support internal trainings of FAC teams – both divisional and regional – as well as supporting branch-level promotion of data & analytics services and capabilities.
- Work with Data & Insights Lead to create and deploy a regular cadence of meaningful book of business insights and trends;
- Support divisional marketing and thought leadership initiatives with data-driven Health & Benefits insights and trends from our combined databases in GBSInsider;
- Collaborate with New Business Intelligence team to regularly update metrics in support of prospect opportunity analyses – including book of business data, as well as data cuts by industry, size and/or geography.
- Work to develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of all GBS approved data warehouse platforms, learning coding languages and/or different dashboard capabilities, as needed;
- Continue to build technical skills on core tools and platforms – both through informal trainings and self-guided learning;
- Supporting large analytics projects from start to finish, as needed;
- Work to develop strong data storytelling capabilities and use those skills to create and present compelling and actionable analytics;
- Identify ongoing process improvement opportunities, and assist in the design, testing, documentation and implementation of process enhancements – also identifying opportunities for automation as they arise.

- Ability to sell the value of GBS data analytics products and services by illustrating potential impact to prospects and clients.

- Builds knowledge of Gallagher tools, systems and shared resources;
- Consistently follows client service workflows to ensure efficiency, timeliness and accuracy of execution;
- Is willing to go the “Extra Mile” to achieve results that benefit the client, the Branch and Gallagher;
- Accountable for meeting timeline of key analytics deliverables with consistency and accuracy;
- Is able to adapt quickly to a variety of circumstances, and change approach when necessary.
About you:
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or Business-related field, and 3+ years of health plan financial, data mining or reporting experience;
- Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics or Statistics background preferred, but not required;
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, including a working knowledge of PowerBI and/or SQL;
- A quick study with interest in learning new skills, tools and data platforms.
