Job Description
Join a team of digital risk governance and security professionals, helping Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As the Data Insights Analyst, you will play a fundamental role in bringing greater transparency to risk exposures in Swiss Re’s technology landscape.
What’s more, you’ll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.
About the team
The team you’ll join, Digital Risk Insights, is responsible bringing insights from the dynamically changing world of digital and technology risks – both within and outside Swiss Re. We aim to establish a “single source of truth” on our exposures, what we can do to mitigate them, and how we can measure our progress. For this, we combine our collective expertise, curiosity, and actively seek out effective data-driven solutions.
We are part of the Security Team, which is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk and compliance. We define and advance the company’s security and digital risk governance and control strategy.
In your role, you will…
- Gain an in-depth understanding of our tech risk governance and security processes (and underlying data)
- Use your strong analytical, data processing and communication skills to provide opinions and value-added input on the design of our use cases, making sure they are comprehensive, complete and well-understood
- Maintain awareness of evolving business/stakeholder requirements and transform these into technical specifications
- Design, build and document data models across multiple data sources
- Establish data pipelines to ingest data from source to enterprise data platforms
- Create dashboards and reports which communicate findings in an understandable way to various stakeholders (fellow risk practitioners, tech staff and senior management)
- Evaluate the effectiveness of reports and identify areas for improvement/ automation (including data quality checks and validation rules)
- Gather feedback and maintain collaborative relationships with consumers
- Take on troubleshooting activities, ensure timely customer communication and coordinate follow-up activities

Your qualifications

What we need from you
- Data literacy, knowledge of data modelling, and extensive use of Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI)
- At least 3 years of proven experience in delivery of visual data reports/ dashboards
- Prior knowledge in cybersecurity, risk management, privacy and related topics
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in a relevant field, e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or other is an advantage
- Experience working with data pipelines, modern programming languages, analytical platforms (proficient in Python, PySpark, SQL)
- Solution-oriented with commitment to quality and timely delivery
- Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills in English
- Feel comfortable working in complex corporate environment
- Passion, drive, and commitment to continuous improvement
Nice-to-have
- Prior experience with Palantir Foundry as target platform
- Hands-on experience with statistical models and analysis/ data science, and/or incorporating new technologies into solution design, such as NLP/ machine learning
- Experience implementing advanced UI design
- Experience working in an Agile setup

For Spain the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 41,000] and [EUR 68,000] per year (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
