As a Financial Control professional in our Corporate Sector, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm

Your team will be Data Management product team at JPMorgan Planning and Analysis (P&A) organization. With a focus on delivering enhanced data insights and modernizing our infrastructure, they partner with key stakeholders across the firm to guide innovation and deliver impactful solutions.

As a Data Management associate within the JPMorgan Planning and Analysis (P&A) organization, you will be building the data platform to provide our P&A stakeholders with a one stop shop for all their data needs. You will own the delivery of platform features and delivery of data on the platform with a focus on client experience. You will work with our P&A stakeholders to gather data requirements, translate that into actionable stories and partner with Technology team to deliver the same.

Job responsibilities

  • Working with Technology and Business stakeholders to onboard and manage data sets from strategic sources to support financial forecasting and reporting
  • Streamline data sourcing, transformation, calculation, accuracy assessment and reporting of financial data sets
  • Partnering with Technology to modernize our data platform – includes building foundational capabilities to support data quality & governance, data process management, data distribution, data analysis & testing, etc.
  • Analyzing, evaluating, and challenging both the current and future state business processes and architecture to identify areas of opportunity for improvement / automation around the forecast data processes
  • Working with internal stakeholders to understand their data and process requirements and deliver data services in a timely manner
  • Executing within a fast-paced environment and leveraging the Agile framework
  • Leveraging various technologies and data analytics skills to analyze and test correctness of data assets as they get on boarded

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a subject of a technical nature. Minimum 3 years of work experience, in technology, data management, product management and/or finance; within the financial services industry
  • Proficient with data gathering, validating, manipulation, analytics, and problem-solving skills with the ability to present conclusions concisely
  • Experience working on Cloud based Big-data implementation platforms and projects. Strong understating of data quality, governance, ETL, data management, and related topics
  • Familiar with financial concepts and various financial calculations leveraged to deliver complete / accurate financial results and business insights
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly. Highly motivated with a proven track record for executing on large to small programs, often under pressure given short lead times or with little information / direction
  • Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent team player with the ability to challenge, while at the same time remaining a respected as a trusted partner for the Planning and Analysis and Technology teams
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills. Ability to analyze data using SQL and/or other data analysis tools

 Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Data analytics using Python. Experience in Cloud data platforms – Amazon Web Services products such as S3 and Redshift; Data Bricks
  • Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Cognos and Alteryx
  • Agile Principles and tools such as Confluence/JIRA
  • Experience with other forecast aggregation tools such as Essbase
