Job Description

Analytica is seeking a Data Management Lead to support a dynamic, long-term federal government enterprise data program. The ideal candidate will lead the coordination of data management activities within the program to ensure the data is accurate, consistent, secure and accessible to relevant stakeholders and users.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to): 

  • Leads the development and implementation of data plans, policies, and procedures.  

  • Establishes and maintains data standards, quality, and governance, designing and managing data models and databases, integrating, and migrating data from different sources and platforms,  

  • Analyzes and reports on data trends, patterns, and insights, troubleshooting and resolving data issues and errors.  

  • Supervises and mentors’ staff and contractors, communicating with data owners, users, and stakeholders, as well as evaluating and recommending data management tools and technologies. 

  • Engage with clients and use a variety of information gathering techniques (e.g., interviews, facilitation, diagrams) to gather complex business data requirements from Business teams 

  • Analyze requirements in relation to available data, assesses source system data quality, and analyze schemas to meet performance requirements 

  • Participate as a subject matter expert and provide solution design and content as feasible on government proposals for projects related to area of expertise  

 Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field. 

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience successfully establishing effective data governance in a large, complex organization.   

  • Minimum 3+ years experience with data quality and governance skills are also important, using tools like DQAF, DMBOK, or DAMA, Big Data technologies, such as Apache Hadoop, Hive or Spark 

  • Hands-on experience building cloud production data solutions leveraging services and technologies, including Databricks, AWS or Amazon Redshift  

  • Possesses broad knowledge across the entire analytics lifecycle, including governance and end-user workflows (e.g. analytics and data science), including advanced knowledge of products and services that are fueling data driven decision making and how they can be leveraged to support cross-functional workflows 

  • Strong understanding of well-architected frameworks, including data architecture concepts including: Data Modeling, Data Movement, Data Governance, Data Security 

  • AWS and/or Databricks Certification preferred 

  • Active US Federal Clearance
