Your role:

As a Data Manager (all genders) within the Business Operations & Services department, you will not only take care of the day-to-day business with regard to already established data management processes such as data maintenance and enrichment, data quality and process automation as well as supporting ad-hoc analysis cases. Together with the Head of Data Management and our Reporting Lead, you will define and implement the next phase of our organization’s data and AI journey. You will identify, pilot and implement new innovative strategies and approaches that are aligned with local needs and at the same time closely aligned with Merck’s global strategy.

 

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in business informatics, computer science, data science or similar subject areas
  • > 4 years of professional experience in the field of data engineering, data governance, advanced analytics
  • Advanced knowledge of data management and data governance
  • Advanced knowledge of databases and database applications, including SQL, Access
  • Good knowledge of data visualization with Power BI, Qlik, Tableau or similar
  • Knowledge of programming languages, including Java, Python
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills
  • Structured and independent way of working
  • Ability to present and communicate complex topics clearly and comprehensibly
  • Knowledge of GenAI and prompting is a plus
  • Business fluent in German and English
