Data Operations Manager – D&W & Real Time

Data Management is vital to IT & Data Excellence function within the Digital Execution & Technology business units in AkerBP. We are responsible for competency, services, and resources as an excellence function.

In the Data Management team we enable and deliver efficient, reliable, and informative decision-making data products and services in a secure, efficient and consistent way. The overall company goal is to be data-driven.

We are looking for a leader for Drilling & Well & realtime Data Management with a strong passion and commitment for people and leadership. There you will become part of the management team in Data Management department and have responsibility for resources delivering services to different part of the business.

Typical work tasks can be: 

• Responsible for building identity, shaping the organisation and developing the people within your team
• Personnel responsibility and competence development
• Optimizing work methodology, processes, and frameworks and align change agenda with clients
• Project ownership, budget, cost management and follow up Supplier and Partner
• Facilitating and removing obstacles and act as escalation point

Skills and qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Drilling or Subsurface discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with Drilling, Engineering or Real Time data management 
• Understand applications and data flow within D&W – both engineering data and Real Time data
• Strong personal drive and ability to drive and motivate teams.
• Strong performer and ability to work under pressure
• Fluent/good abilities in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written
