The Data Scientist role involves understanding business objectives, collaborating cross-functionally, and analyzing data to drive strategic decisions. Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and data visualization tools is required. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential. Experience with containerization tools, cloud platforms, and Apache Airflow is desirable. A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field is preferred.

As part of Rappi, you will be responsible for:

  • Understand business objectives and provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business strategies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address business challenges.

  • Collect, clean, and process data from various sources.

  • Explore and analyze large datasets to identify opportunities.

  • Conduct statistical analysis and hypothesis testing to draw meaningful conclusions.

  • Create data visualizations to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure the efficient and reliable flow of data across the organization.

  • Design and develop data services and APIs 

  • Deploy and maintain services into production environments.

  • Collaborate with software engineers to integrate models into business applications.

  • Actively participate in meetings with clients and stakeholders.

Good and now, what are the requirements for me to be part of this neon universe?

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering).

  • Experience with data manipulation and analysis using SQL.

  • Experience with data visualization tools.

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large, messy datasets.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and explain complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.

  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) for hosting and managing data services.

  • Experience with building and maintaining data pipelines using Apache Airflow

  • Experience in designing and developing data services and APIs

  • Collaboration skills to work closely with software engineers and other stakeholders to define API requirements and ensure seamless integration.
