Job Description

Davidson Technologies Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Scientist with expertise in Missile Systems and Air Defense. The role involves applying advanced scientific techniques, including AI, machine learning, and data mining, to analyze intelligence data and create comprehensive narrative products. The candidate will develop and utilize prediction algorithms, such as MIMOSA, integrate algorithms for intelligence missions, and provide best practices for data management. Additional responsibilities include supporting predictive analysis, social media analytics, wargaming, and strategy development. The position requires rapid data analysis to derive intelligence and preparing detailed reports on findings and activities.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Employ mathematics, statistics, information science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to provide technical engineering support and analysis of offensive and defensive missile systems.
  • Apply professional knowledge of scientific and technical engineering concepts, data mining, and data engineering to assess specific requirements, delineate engineered designs, and develop preliminary and final design plans.
  • Utilize probability modeling and network science to assess the theory of operations, characteristics and performance, physical characteristics, signatures, vulnerability, and employment of foreign weapons systems.
  • Support analysis, evaluation, assessment, and documentation of intelligence information on current and future defensive systems, including subsystems, components, and technologies, using advanced data science techniques.
  • Understand and utilize the Integrated Technical Evaluation and Analysis of Multiple Sources (ITEAMS) process to determine a detailed threat design, employing data warehousing, data compression, and data protection techniques.
  • Possess an understanding of Threat Modeling Analysis Program digital models, simulations, and hardware representations of defensive systems to assess system capabilities, performance, and vulnerabilities, leveraging machine learning algorithms.
  • Communicate effectively and timely with all stakeholders, leveraging relationships to foster support for the accomplishment of goals and objectives, and present findings and recommendations to appropriate groups to determine actionable steps based on the findings.
  • Prepare written, technical reports as required, and describe and document findings and activities.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other technical government and contractor engineers assigned to the complex project, employing rapid iteration techniques of large volumes of data to quickly derive intelligence.

Experience Level: Mid-career Data Scientist

Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience

Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications:

  • Extensive experience in air defense weapon systems analysis.
  • Participation in an ITEAMS project.
  • Experience supporting the Defense Intelligence Agency and Missile and Space Intelligence Center.
  • At least 8 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years
  • Master’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Active DoD TS/SCI with Poly

Clearance Requirements:

Currently holds or able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
