Job Description

 Job Summary:

We are looking for a Data Scientist responsible for structuered/unstructured data collection, cleansing, analysis of the data, perform text extraction from the word or PDF documents, text analytics, assign classifiers, perform n-gram analysis. The candidate should be able to work with  senior team members while demonstrating independence in analytical and software development lifecycle phases from concept, design, testing and deployment.

Responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of Senior Data Scientist and collaborate with other Development team members
• Work on structured and unstructured datasets, perform Data Cleansing, Data Analysis, Data Augmentations, Text Extraction, Text Analytics. 
• Contribute to python coding for analytics projects including the web Front ends to generate POCs, represent data
• Generate BI representation of the data after data analysis, provide insights to senior team members of the findings.
• Provides solutions in timely manners, timely status updates for areas of individual responsibilities in projects

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in structured/unstructured data cleansing, data analysis, familiarity with programming on Text mining, Text extraction, Text analytics, n-gram analysis
  • Experience with advanced MS-Excel, Macros, creating charts and graphs in Excel or PowerBI for presentations.
  • 1+ Experience with python programming, AWS, Flask and/or Angular JS Programming,
  • Exposure to Pandas, Scikit tools, SciPy, PyTorch, TensorFlow
  • Exposure in NLP, NTLK, statistical data analysis, Web Scraping  is a plus
  • Some experience with database technologies like SQL server, Mongo DB, NoSQL etc.
  • Exposure and familiarity to Big data environment, working on real-time streaming and analytics
  • Experience in setting up AWS environment, working on lambda functions using Python is a plus.
  • Any exposure to Deep Learning, Supervised and Unsupervised learning is a plus.
  • Conversant with Agile and scrum methodologies
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain mid-level to complex applications.

Education/ Experience

  • Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required
