Data Visualisation Expert – QlikSense

An opportunity to work  on a project at our client, major investment bank as a Data Visualisation Expert. The main objective of this position is to provide assistance for existing Qlik-based applications, create new applications based on business user requirements, and enhance automation within the current set of RCAS Dashboards. Given the diverse range of dashboards and reporting processes in the portfolio, the developer should possess strong multitasking skills and the ability to self-manage their workload effectively. The responsibilities include ensuring the ongoing functionality of dashboards and implementing improvements as per business user instructions.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing submitted business needs and ensuring clarity by engaging with relevant stakeholders.
• Crafting, developing, and upkeeping user-friendly data visualizations and dashboards using intricate datasets from varied sources.
• Applying best practices to guarantee a  uniform dashboard design, fostering an optimal user experience
• Iteratively perfecting dashboards based on feedback to sustain accuracy and functionality, incorporating a range of perspectives.
• Collaborating with functional business leaders from diverse backgrounds to formulate analytical solutions aligned with business requirements. 
• Spearheading the delivery of top-tier visualization solutions for stakeholders across different regions and a spectrum of risk types. 
• Supplying actionable solutions with clear recommendations when needed, considering a multitude of perspectives. 
• Providing support for production, including aiding with access requests and access issues, with a commitment to diversity and inclusion. 
• Taking charge of dashboards and ensuring the quality of deliverables with a focus on diversity and inclusivity. 
• Demonstrating the capability to manage multiple projects concurrently, embracing diversity in project requirements and teams. 

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with QlikSense.
• Proven expertise in applying analytics to solve intricate business challenges using data.
• Proficiency in designing dashboards through reporting tools like Qlik, Tableau, Power BI.
• Visualization skills with a strong emphasis on delivering innovative, user-friendly solutions.
• Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities, fostering robust relationships internally and externally across various levels.
• Adaptability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment and navigate organizational challenges effectively.
• Robust analytical skills, complemented by business analysis experience or equivalent.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
• Proficiency in project management and organizational abilities, managing multiple processes and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record of rapidly acquiring new skills and expertise.

• Skills Required
  • Advanced proficiency in visualization tools such as QlikSense/Other visualization tools (minimum 2 years of experience in QlikSense)
• Skills Desirable
  • Ability to work with data and information from various systems, identifying areas requiring data cleansing for clear visualization.
  • Competence and proficiency in working with analytical programming languages such as Python/SQL/ETL tools is an added advantage
  • Experience in data science and familiarity with machine learning algorithms (e.g., Regression, Classification) is an added advantage.
  • Beneficial experience in analytical analysis, data mining, and scenario modelling.
  • Familiarity with adopting cloud technologies.
