What will your typical day look like?
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in the world of Insights? Do you thrive on working with large sets of data, developing dashboards and inferring insights using various analytical tools and concepts? If yes, then Data Reporting & Insights is the team for you. Our team provides accurate, timely and consistent reporting and insights to the Firm’s leaders which is an essential element of executing the Firm’s strategy.
Role Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders and colleagues, based on mutual respect and trust, sharing information and expertise
- Demonstrate a strategic and proactive mindset in articulating and solving complex business issues
- Articulate how project work contributes to broader stakeholder objectives and strategy
- Deliver well-articulated messages, evaluate stakeholder responses and modify communication approach to facilitate impactful communications
- Act as an ambassador for change, challenge existing practices, bring in innovative solutions, identify the positive impact of change and motivate others to embrace change
- Act responsibly and proactively to clarify project scope with stakeholders and promptly address or escalate concerns around meeting timelines or budget
- Guide teams to successful project delivery through effective utilization of resources and operating within defined budgets
- Develop compelling, interactive visualizations and reports using Tableau Desktop, based mockups or requirements documents
- Suggest most efficient and maintainable ways of implementing the desired functionality
- Advise junior team members on how to create clean design solutions to implement functionality in Tableau
- Ensure the accuracy of metrics by defining and documented needed checks, execute these tests as needed
- Envision and implement a detailed QA process and supporting workbooks that can be used to support data validation processes
- Understand the latest design and reporting best practices, demonstrate proficiency with visual design tools and build browser agnostic user interfaces
- Create technical documentation so that the team can maintain the delivered solutions

Global CoRe provides seven fundamental services to Deloitte around the world: knowledge services, creative services, contact center, data management assessment services, data protection, procurement, and real estate. We develop new and innovative ways to improve how these services are delivered across the organization, leveraging our global scope and strength to serve our organization within and across borders.

Required Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
- 4+ years experience developing in visual analytics tools like Tableau
- Working with customers to define requirements and design solutions that transform data into actionable visualizations
- Advanced experience with Tableau Desktop, including dashboards, layout containers, formulas and aggregate calculations, sets, parameters, etc.
- Experience building storyboards to conceptualize solutions that accurately convey designs to customer
- Experience defining personas, wireframes, user flows, process flow charts, testing scenarios, and develop prototypes
- Experience understanding database sources and writing complex queries from multiple sources that adhere to coding best practices
- Ability to create a clean, maintainable solution design in Tableau Desktop
- Experience designing governance models and performing quality checks and tests on own code and peer reviews on others code.
- Experience applying performance tuning techniques on reporting objects to create more efficient solutions
- Strong analytical capabilities and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communications skills and attention to detail
Preferred:
- 4+ years experience developing in MS SQL Server or similar databases
- 2+ years experience designing database models and data architectures
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $85,000 – $156,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
