Job Description

Database Engineer ResponsibilitiesScalability, robustness and quality of enterprise infrastructure systems, which involves a complete mix of databases, applications and infrastructure toolsets. Work on a team of highly technical and talented database engineers responsible for maintaining the global database systems for Enterprise Engineering. Performance monitoring & tuning, backup & recovery of the databases and associated applications.

Improve and optimize database administration and management with coding and automation. Support day-to-day operations and escalations of the database systems. Manage geographically dispersed infrastructure, DR environments and docker containers. Contribute to meeting KPIs and SLAs through management of task queues.

Support large-scale global disaster recovery exercises while working closely with other infrastructure, production and business teams at Meta. Responsible for troubleshooting, fault isolation and communication across the infrastructure, applications and business teams.

Provide Technical design documentation, installation guide, best practices and weekly project. Telecommuting from anywhere in the U. S.

Minimum QualificationsBachelors degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and six years of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupationRequires five years of experience in the following:Working in environments such as Oracle, Mongo DB, or MS SQL serversWorking with Oracle Exadata, Golden Gate, RAC, ASM, Data guard and RMANProficiency in operating application stack environments such as Hyperion, Agile, Oracle Fusion, Oracle EBS, UiPath, or VertexInstalling and managing container orchestration services, especially KubernetesAdministering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as GIT, Jira, GitLab, or JenkinsProficiency in Python and Shell and any other languages used in system tooling (e. g.

Ruby, Perl)Configuration management tools such as Ansible and Chef andProficiency in working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Amazon Web Services Cloud environments
