The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. With its more than 1700 professionals, SAP Labs Bulgaria also has strong contributions toward life-cycle management, user interface & user experience across the broader portfolio of SAP products and business applications. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work in a cross-functional agile team collaborating closely with operations and development colleagues in an international environment
• Adopt new tools and practices that enable the team to gain deeper insights into system/services behavior, performance and reliability
• Be able to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies
• Apply latest security standards in our day to day work and software solutions
• Build and maintain automation code and tools
• Frontend and backend programming
• Leverage mainstream frameworks for development in Java and JS like Spring Boot and SAP UI5 within SAP Business Technology Platform
• Develop tests of high quality and code coverage
• Actively share knowledge and participate in your colleagues technical development

Required skills

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or related field
• Experience as DevOps/SRE or other relevant position
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Good understanding/experience of cloud architecture and/or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience in full-stack web application development with JavaScript and/or Java
• Practice of modern software engineering including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and releasing
• Actively participate in the development process
• Collaborative work with others
• Ensure high quality of the delivered software
• Good time management and prioritization skills, multitasking
• Ability to work well in a Multicultural and Multinational environment
• Be able to work efficiently in critical situations and have an affinity to analyze and solve problems quickly
• Be a real team player, self-motivated, proactive and continuous learner
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluency in English

Preferred skills

• Experience with Spring Boot framework and SAPUI5 (or other JS frameworks) is a plus
• Long-term experience with Git and Maven is a plus
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. SAP CP, AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, or AliCloud)
• Visual design or user experience expertise is a plus
• Experience contributing to open source projects is a plus
