Director, Audience Measurement

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Measurement & Attribution team that is part of the larger WBD Ad Sales Research, Data & Insights department at Warner Bros Discovery. This position will be focused on developing and testing new innovative ad solutions and establishing workflows for planning, optimizing and measuring audiences (broad demo and advanced audiences) to drive greater value for Warner Bros Discovery’s advertiser partners.

The Director role on the Audience Measurement team must be adept at media measurement (methodological approaches to multiplatform deduplication) and have a working knowledge of data and systems used in digital & linear advertising, as the role requires working closely across multiple functions across the broader WBD Ad Sales organization to help build new products.  This person will work with cutting edge media measurement and currency partners to customize and implement their offerings.  This person will also assist in providing leading-edge analysis, recommendations and thought leadership specific to audience measurement. The ideal person is a nimble, go-getter who enjoys collaborating with partners. This position calls for a candidate that both exhibits operational excellence in the projects that they manage and is adept at identifying innovative solutions to potential issues that might arise during the course of a project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Must work with multiple partners (including product, engineering, data science, privacy, legal, and ad operations) to help design and build Data-Driven Video (DDV) offerings from Warner Bros Discovery.
  • Oversees the development and execution of WBD’s Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives that are designed to accelerate WBD’s next generation measurement and currency capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with WBD’s measurement providers, leveraging their companies’ unique data offerings and methodological expertise to drive incremental improvements to the WBD’s measurement of client campaigns.
  • Work with sales leads to ensure WBD’s audience measurement offerings are clear to our brand and agency clients, as well as gather requested improvements to further WBD’s capabilities in providing effective audience measurement.
  • Works with other members of the Audience Measurement team so that it can be a center of excellence within the overall Ad Sales Research, Data & Insights department.
  • Track and synthesize the data assets & methodology for common 3rd party measurement offerings that WBD or their advertiser partners might have an interest in.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of linear & digital datasets that employ methodological revisions that will alter reported audience levels from the existing offering from the measurement partner so top-level findings can be shared across appropriate internal teams.
  • Assist in the formulation of a WBD point-of-view on media measurement, which could include the creation of presentations, white papers and work on industry committees to share WBD’s learnings and knowledge in the media measurement space.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • 8-12 years at an ad-tech, media measurement, programmer or ad agency where their role provided hands on-experience experience in media measurement and the development of measurement products.
  • Experience and familiarity with programming languages (SQL, Python, R) that can be used to conduct data analyses.
  • Solid knowledge of the major linear and digital TV measurement reporting services (e.g. Comscore, iSpot.tv, Nielsen and VideoAmp, in alphabetical order).
  • Solid knowledge of cross-platform and addressable measurement of broad demo and advanced audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (computer science, mathematics, marketing analytics, statistics, economics)
  • Must have legal right to work in the United States.
