This ten-week paid internship is located in Chicago, IL or Richardson, TXWhat Are Your Responsibilities?The successful candidate for this position will assist in supporting development, integration, testing, and maintenance of existing and new data & analytics business solutions. The ideal finance data and analytics developer intern candidate will understand one or more programming languages and be able to supports divisional data solutions while also following corporate policies and standards. In this role you may be asked to Initiate and monitor timely defect resolution for production and operational readiness, manage deadlines and work efforts within a timely manner, recommend process improvements and communicate effectively with the team and management.
This role will also need to:Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies. Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned. responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested. Create a final internship PowerPoint presentation to share with department leadership covering the internship experience, the assigned project over the course of the summer, including the results along with any solutions or recommendations that can be leveraged by the department in the future.
What Do You Need to Be Successful?Ability to collect, clean & prep uncomplicated dataUnderstanding of straightforward data structuresAbility to describe data and understand reasonability checkingAbility to work with change coordinators to implement changes and new solutionsKnowledge of entry level abilities on data tech (BI, DB Platforms, or other type data toolsets)Ability to work in a team environment. Previous internship experience preferred.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication. Strong analytical skillsPractical, developed PC skills, especially Excel, Word, and AccessWhat Are the Requirements You Must Meet?
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information science, management information systems or a related fieldGraduation date between December 2026 and June 2027A minimum GPA of 0/0Availability to work 10 weeks during the summer (June – August)Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
