Job Description

In the US, EDF Innovation Lab’s role is to provide R&D, innovation, and business development support to the EDF Group. This is done through the creation of partnerships and collaborations with leading research institutions and industries and the identification and development of innovative technologies and solutions. EDF Innovation Lab also introduces start-ups and emerging technologies to EDF Group’s business units with the goal of partnering and develop joint ventures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or contribute to projects focused on energy market analysis and insights.

  • Serve as the Lab’s Lead in data analytics and data science, advancing technical competencies across the team.

  • Provide strategic support and propose new projects for EDF Business Units in the U.S., including EDF Trading North America and EDF Renewables North America, as opportunities arise.

  • Assist the Energy Markets team manager with reporting, communications, and the development of new initiatives.

  • Collaborate with EDF R&D project managers to support ongoing projects, producing key deliverables such as market research reports and specialized insights.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Energy, Engineering or a similar discipline. Master’s degree preferred.

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role focusing on energy markets, storage analysis, distributed energy resources, or flexibility.

  • Previous experience processing data analytics and modeling of simple data-driven systems preferred.

  • Previous experience in relevant industries, electric utilities, or start-ups highly preferred.

  • Compensation range for this position is $98,000 to $120,000.
