About the Role
You are a passionate AI professional, who is enthusiastic about automotive electronics and wants to define the future in-cabin user experience.
Join our Automotive AI Lab as Data Engineer. Collaborating with global automotive, AI/ML, and MLOps expert teams, you will implement a vehicle software update experience that is compelling for OEM customers, end-consumers, and Harman teams. You will develop, manage, and maintain data engineering (data collection, processing, ETL, etc.) solutions for our Harman products (Over-the-Air OTA update, Connectivity, etc.). Owning the full data pipeline, you will provision your team with large scale vehicle fleet and contextual data in all phases of the product lifecycle.
What You Will Do
· Develop and optimize data engineering solutions for multiple data sources (e.g., vehicles, users, and context information)
· Work together with automotive domain subject matter experts, AI architects, and data scientists to develop data architectures and pipelines
· Identify and integrate data sources including real, synthetic / simulated datasets and data management
· Manage large scale data sets incl. labelling, cataloging, and versioning
· Analyze datasets, create reports and visualizations
What You Need
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or comparable practical experience
· 4 years of industry engineering experience in big data technologies including data engineering and process for extracting value from large datasets from multiple sources
· Demonstrated experience in building and optimizing data pipelines
· Relevant practical experience with big data technologies, AI/ML tech stacks, tool chains, databases, data collection, data tools (e.g. DataBricks, Kafka, Apache Spark, LLMs, Python, Java)
What is Nice to Have
- · Experience working with automotive services or products and domain knowledge (e.g., OTA, Connectivity)
- · Experience in collecting and processing large scale automotive fleet data (raw logs, documents, etc.)
- · Knowledge of Machine learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain
What Makes You Eligible

· Willingness to travel up to 10%, domestic and international travel
· Be willing to work in an office or home office in Bengaluru, India
