The position of Enterprise Data Architect will be Remote!

 

Summary

The Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for being a key partner to the data delivery leadership on data strategy and will lead the design and development of data architecture to achieve targeted data and business outcomes. Rexel USA will look to you as the change agent for data and rely on your extensive experience to continuously improve and mature the data ecosystem across our enterprise. 

What You’ll Do

  • Be accountable for end-to-end data architecture supporting the business strategy and outcomes
  • Develop and maintain data standards, patterns, policies, and reference architectures
  • Design, implement, and maintain the data architecture roadmap to target state
  • Partner with Product Architects, Engineers, and Business Stakeholders to ensure alignment of proposed solutions with data strategy and reference architecture
  • Maintain alignment of data architecture with holistic strategic architecture
  • Provide data architecture guidance and leadership to stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain data governance framework
  • Lead data vendor engagements and assessments
  • Document and maintain high level current state enterprise data architecture
  • Stay up to date with latest in data technology trends and developments
  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

  • 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree    
  • 10+ years of experience in data strategy, architecture, integration, and governance
  • 5+ years hands on data platform implementation experience 
  • Data Fabric and/or Data Mesh experience
  • AI/ML implementation experience
  • Cloud data patterns and experience
  • Hybrid On-Prem/Cloud experience
  • Data governance implementation experience
  • Experience working with C-suite business and technology leaders

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to envision future needs and integrate complex requirements into a clear data vision and roadmap for the organization
  • Ability to challenge existing status quo and push for new, effective, and scalable data solutions
  • Ability to translate Business Outcomes to Data Strategy and Architecture
  • Deep expertise in enterprise level data architecture patterns (MDM, Analytics, Data Pipelines, etc)
  • ETL/ELT patterns
  • Knowledge of data quality, security, and privacy best practices
  • Ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization
  • Passionate storyteller with excellent content-generation skills
  • Strong interpersonal communications, analytical and problem solving, organizational and written/verbal communication skills
