We’re currently growing our team of Artisans with an Equipment Reliability Specialist. This role will be located in Houston, TX at our Houston Distribution Center (HDC) and is responsible for optimizing the reliability and performance of industrial equipment. This role involves analyzing equipment data, identifying potential failures, and implementing strategies to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Requirements
Duties & Responsibilities
· Data Analysis: Collect and analyze equipment performance data, including failure rates, downtime, and maintenance history.
· Root Cause and Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEA): Collaborate with RTI’s engineering team to investigate equipment failures, determine underlying causes, and develop corrective actions. Conduct FMEAs to identify potential failure modes and their consequences and develop mitigation strategies.
· Reliability Modeling: Create and maintain reliability models to predict equipment performance and identify potential risks.
· Predictive Maintenance and Inspection: Implement and manage a predictive maintenance program to extend mean-time-between-failure (MTBF). Conduct periodic inspections with third-party maintenance entities and vendors. Ensure all third-party maintenance activities adhere to specified procedures, both internal and external.
· Reliability Improvement Projects: Lead or participate in projects aimed at improving equipment reliability, such as maintenance process optimization, design changes, or material substitutions.
· Reporting: Prepare regular reports on equipment reliability performance, including key metrics and trends.
· Process Improvement: Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or data science (in lieu of degree, 3+ years of relevant experience may be substituted)
· Three years’ experience in maintenance, manufacturing, and / or operational procedures required.
· 3+ years experience with troubleshooting, preventative maintenance tasks and equipment maintenance procedures.
· Highly organized and strong attention to detail.
· Ability to learn and understand more extensive knowledge of mechanical equipment, pipe work, and piston/diaphragm pumps.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
· Ability / willingness to learn data processing techniques and software (e.g., Excel, Python, r, etc.)
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
· Data processing / analysis experience preferred
· Project management experience preferred
· Six Sigma, Lean, 5S, etc. experience preferred
· Quality control or inspection experience preferred

· Valid US Passport
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
· Work is executed both in an office setting and in a shop type environment. On occasion, it may be required to assist in the execution of projects which requires working 12-hour shifts for a week or so in an industrial site.
· At industrial sites and in the shop environment one may be required to carry equipment (up to 40 pounds), climb stairs and ladders, work in inclement weather and be on one’s feet for a 12-hour shift.
Travel Requirements
· Could require periodic travel to field sites to review equipment use, collect data, and test solutions. Expected to be less than 30 days per year.
