Key responsibilities:

You will be responsible for overseeing our ETL processes. This includes data modelling, data warehouse architecture, data pipeline development and ETL testing.

Working with a variety of data technologies, you will work in a batch processing environment where the emphasis is on processing large volumes of data at scale and speed.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

• Designing, implementing and optimising high performance ETL Systems
• Working with a variety of data sources, including SQL, NoSQL databases, and flat files
• Efficiently managing structured data, unstructured data, and meta data
• Working with querying and reporting tools, application development tools, data mining and OLAP tools
• Managing the data cleansing and data enrichment process
• Designing data warehouse architectures
• Designing and building data pipelines, including data extraction, staging, formatting and enrichment
• Testing tools, models, and data pipelines
• Creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation

We’re looking for:

• Tertiary qualification in Technology preferred
• Previous experience in ETL development (5+ years)
• Experience with Bash, Python and SQL scripting, in a Linux/Unix environment
• Knowledge and expertise in data model testing, data flow validation and system performance testing
• Proven experience with designing, implementing and optimising ETL processes
• Experience with designing data modelling and data warehouse architectures
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
