Department Overview

The Enterprise Service Delivery (ESD) Business Operations team delivers a broad range of expertise and services to drive integrated, cross-organizational solutions for ESD. By providing strategic counsel and program governance, the team helps the organization balance operational strategy, risk, compliance, and continuous improvement. We aspire to build leading programs that enable ESD and PG&E to thrive in their operations.

 

Position Summary

The successful candidate will analyze and compile data to drive business decisions in ESD. They will be responsible for modeling, building, and maintaining data processes that optimize the flow of information into visual management solutions in an efficient manner. They must be able to identify gaps and opportunities where data could be utilized to achieve business objectives and design solutions to close gaps; including automating data routines and processes. Outside of data processes, the individual will need to synthesizes complex data into executive-level summaries with clear, concise and actionable findings.  

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.​

 

A reasonable salary range is:​

Bay Area Minimum: $122,000.00

Bay Area Maximum: $194,000.00

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains data visualization tools.
  • Designs data analysis solutions to achieve business objectives, process data, and analyze data.
  • Develops comprehensive reports and communicates clear, concise and actionable data analyses for clients.
  • Manages complex data analysis projects with limited supervision on only the most complex projects from initial request to presenting data results
  • Creates automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery ensuring accurate data manipulation and data cleansing.
  • Streamlines complex datasets to show trends, gaps, and summaries, providing consultation on data solutions to leaders.
  • Analyzes data using various advanced statistical tools to develop complex ad hoc reports, statistics, trends and profiles.
  • Demonstrates and uses broad expertise in data processing and data analysis and applies this knowledge to a number of different issues.
  • Manages very complex data extracts and list pulls ensuring data accuracy. Manages extracting data and transferring the data from databases to various analysts to support operational analysis efforts
  • Provides new and innovative solutions and recommendations to enhance, automate, and optimize databases, data processes, dataflows, and visual management boards. Foresees data needs and opportunities to improve business processes with data solutions.
  • Troubleshoots issues and breakages in links between data reports/systems and identifies solutions to prevent data related issues.
  • Works with Directors and Managers across functions to influence decisions based on data.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 6 years job-related experience

Desired:

  • Masters Degree or equivalent experience
  • 8 years job-related experience
  • Proficient with Excel macros, data querying, data transformation
  • Experience with PowerBI and/or Tableau
