The Finance department is looking for a skilled Finance Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will use data-driven insights to support financial decision-making, streamline reporting processes, and improve operational efficiency. This role requires expertise in financial analysis, data visualization, and business intelligence tools.
Job Description
The role will require obtaining an understanding of department policies and procedures, recommendation and development of systems, and reporting that will enhance the function of the department, in line with the current technological environment. Further the successful candidate should have a strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team, as the role will require cross-departmental collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize financial reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Develop new business processes on the cloud (Azure Synapse) data warehouse when required
- Perform in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that support business decisions.
- Assist in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting processes to support strategic planning.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources into BI platforms and Cloud data lake.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting systems and databases.
- Partner with finance, accounting, and operational teams to understand data requirements and provide actionable insights.
- Communicate complex analyses and findings in a clear, concise manner to stakeholders at all levels.
- Identify opportunities for automation in reporting and data processing to improve efficiency.
- Work with IT and other departments to enhance data architecture and optimize BI tools.
- Develop new business processes on the cloud (Azure Synapse) data warehouse when required
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field. CA(SA) or ACMA, CGMA relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CFI) are a plus.
- 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.
Additional Information
- Proven experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel,SQL and Python; experience with data warehouse solutions and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial databases is preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset with a high attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret complex data and provide meaningful recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with financial modeling software and statistical tools.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial KPIs.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.
