What are we looking for?
We are looking to hire an enthusiastic graduate to join our newly formed data analytics team. We are seeking someone who is eager to learn, has high attention to detail & a passion for all things data and using that to influence management!
Job Description
As a finance data analytics graduate, you will play an important role in supporting decision making by providing insightful data analysis to stakeholders at all levels. You will also gain experience in various areas of Finance and Controlling: including Management Accounting & Sales Controlling. This means that you can produce accurate reporting and provide data and analysis for the team and management.
As this role is part of a newly formed team, that is investing in BI technologies and data analytics processes, there will always be room for new ideas to be explored and a real opportunity to make an impact and grow within the business.
This is an entry-level role, where the successful candidate will grow into these responsibilities and gradually take more ownership of the below listed areas.
Tasks include:
- Participation in month and year end closing (reconciliations, accurate reporting)
- Support with budget and material cost controlling (e.g., variance-analysis)
- Support with forecasting / business plan processes
- Supporting management discussions with preparation of presentations and data-analysis
- Become business partner for assigned departments
- Liaising with stakeholders across the organization within the UK and overseas plants
- Special ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
- Contribute to team goals for high quality reporting and analysis.
Qualifications
What skills should you have?
You will be a great addition to our team if you have:
A university degree in business or related studies or similar
- Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
- Analytical skills and numerical ability
- Result focused without losing attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial mindset to identify opportunities for improvement
- Inquisitive and finding satisfaction in solving problems
- Clear logical approach to problem solving
- Ability to communicate confidently with associates at all levels
- Pro-active approach and willingness to learn from/reflect on mistakes
- Flexible approach towards working hours, discipline to schedule own workload
- Coping under pressure with tight deadlines
Additional experience or interests that are valued for the role:
- Good knowledge in BI technologies and Statistics
- Interest and knowledge in Programming and Data Science
- Experience in Finance or Accounting is an advantage
- Being an “Excel-Wizard” or wanting to become one 🙂
Additional Information
Expected Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: 39 hours a week; Mon – Thurs 08.00 – 17.00 and Fri 08.00 – 16.00 with a 1-hour unpaid lunchbreak
Location: Warndon, Worcester
