The Finance BI and Data Analyst role involves collecting, analyzing, and visualizing financial data to support data-driven decision-making. Key responsibilities include developing dashboards and reports, identifying trends and opportunities, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating across departments to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks. Proficiency in BI tools, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Your responsibilities
- Responsible for improving financial reporting utilizing Microsoft Power BI capabilities
- Initiate, drive and support further development of FLSmidth internal BI tools (MyOrders- and MyFinance data models)
- Perform controlling activities and onboard new users
- Develop in-depth knowledge of our operations, data points and underlying process flows
- Act as a business partner for our stakeholders and support the improvement of our data discipline and accuracy
- Communicate and train different stakeholders, including local finance teams of our BI solutions and tools
What you bring
- You must be an advanced user of Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Excel
- Hands-on experience from working with ERP systems and a good interest in financial processes – experience working with Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics (D365) is an advantage
- Experience with structuring performance management & planning solutions is an advantage, especially with OneStream EPM software
- Ability to grasp the big picture and focus on details whilst ensuring a high level of quality in end-to-end processes and record-to-report
- A Master’s degree within finance, economics or another relevant field
- Strong accounting knowledge with 2-5 years of practical finance experience from a global company – experience working with project accounting is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills in English including ability to train colleagues at different levels
