Financial Master Data Analyst (M/F)

Essity Global Business Services (GBS) business unit is currently searching for a Financial Master Data Analyst. This position will be based in Lisbon, Portugal.

This individual is part of a global remote team with team members and management located in different parts of Europe and Americas.

What You Will Do

The GBS Financial Master Data team is a global team within Master Data Services in GBS at Essity. The responsibilities of Financial Master Data team include creation and maintenance of different Finance objects like GL accounts, internal customers/vendors, cost centers, profit centers etc. Quality assurance of such master data is a key focus and many other processes within Essity are relying on good quality in these records.

As a GBS Financial Master Data Analyst you have contacts with many Essity colleagues around the globe.

To this small global team we are now looking for an additional Master Data Analyst. As Master Data Analyst you will also work closely together with the other process leaders in GBS Financial Services and other Finance colleagues.

More specifically, you will:

  • Communicate and support the Master Data vision including global harmonization and a single Master Data process.

  • Understand global Master Data policies and procedures and strive to be the process champion ensuring adherence to Financial Master Data processes.

  • Train and communicate with Essity’s business functions to ensure appropriate involvement and understanding of the global Financial Master Data set.

  • Coordinate testing activities in projects and in the run phase.

  • Monitoring and reviewing Financial Master Data flows ensuring appropriate quality and accuracy. Highlighting issues and recommending improvement activities

  • Respond to more complex, escalated enquiries from team members and developing problem solving guidelines etc. to improve problem resolution.

  • Proactively contribute to projects and initiatives, challenging the status quo

  • Actively perform mass upload Master Data in conjunction with the IT group

  • Development and calculation of KPI’s, ad hoc reporting and data analysis

  • Implement desired workflow tools or automation systems across all geographies, forging relationships with IT Architecture colleagues and ensure the promotion of Data Governance

  • Take part in our big strategic initiatives.

Who You Are

Apart from above, you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant area

  • Three plus years of experience within Finance, specifically in Accounting

  • Proven proficiency with Excel

  • Experience in Financial Master Data is highly preferred

  • Experience with SAP, specifically having worked with MDG/S4Hana is highly preferred

  • Analytical mindset

  • Eager to learn and share

  • Holistic thinking
