About You:

We’re seeking a passionate individual to join us as our Founding AI Engineer, becoming the pivotal third member of our team ahead of the PearX program in June 2024. We prize candidates who share our company’s vision and are ready to help foster an inclusive and collaborative culture. As a lean pre-seed startup, we need someone with a scrappy, hands-on approach, eager to evolve alongside our team. The ideal candidate is excited to apply their AI/ML expertise, particularly in computer vision and LLMs, to shape the trajectory of a groundbreaking company.

Qualifications:

• Background in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related

subject.

• Experience with Computer Vision and LLMs in the academic and/or practical environment.

• Experience coding and testing in both Python and C++.

• Familiarity with Tensorflow, PyTorch, OpenCV, OpenAI tools, AWS or GCP.

What will make you stand out:

• Proficiency/Experience with web application development and maintenance as well as APIs.

• Proficiency/Experience with Linux and open-source development tools.

• Proficiency/Experience working with satellite and/or street view imagery

• Previous involvement in UI/UX development or collaboration with UI/UX developers

Day to day:

• Participate in product ideation and development.

• Apply computer vision and other AI/ML techniques to harvest building data.

• Find and merge dissimilar datasets.

• Write, test, document, and review code according to RQ’s development standards that you would help to define.

• Develop and maintain the backend software products.
