Modern tools are required for codes to have an impact where it counts. As an integral member of an innovative team, you’ll work on cutting-edge products and services that drive the performance of our vehicles, making an essential contribution to the success of the BMW Group. 

We are a cross-disciplinary research team of experts working on evaluating next-generation-technology battery cells and subcomponents for automotive applications.

What awaits you?

• You will design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and state-of-the-art IT solutions for frontends and backends of web applications for battery development.
• You will implement and maintain DevOps processes including continuous integration, delivery and deployment.
• You will build, manage, and maintain big databases to ensure data accessibility, accuracy, consistency, transparency, and traceability.
• You will conduct data analysis, develop predictive models using machine and deep learning technologies to generate new insights and to ensure high quality.
• You will collaborate with other developers and researchers, data scientists and stakeholders to develop scalable data-driven new innovative solutions.
• You will communicate and present technical concepts and findings to both IT and non-IT audiences.
• You will stay up-to-date with the latest technology developments and trends in full stack development, data science and data analytics.

What should you bring along?

• University degree in information technology, computer science or related discipline.
• Extensive experiences as Full Stack Developer and in web design with Javascript, Typescript, React JS, Node JS, and other web programming languages/frameworks.
• Extensive data science knowledge like Python, Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch etc. and flexibility to adapt to new languages.
• Extensive experiences in databases like e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL etc. and DevOps and server management skills including performance and Log visualization tools (Grafana, Prometheus).
• Expertise in Continuous Integration and Deployment, Cloud (AWS, MS Azure) and local deployment would be advantageous.
• Project management and agile development skills (e.g. JIRA, Confluence etc.) would be a plus.
• Experiences in the automotive and battery development would be advantageous.
• Fluent English for professional use, German skills would be a plus.
