Job Description
Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking Full Stack Developer with experience in Big Data, Data Analytics and designing and developing solutions within the cloud to support our classified customer in Washington, DC. Peraton has been supporting our classified customer for 20 years and has a history of supporting building some of the most important & technically advanced applications.
Technology is constantly evolving, and our adversaries are exceeding law enforcement’s ability to keep pace in the cyber space. Those charged with protecting the United States are not always able to access the evidence needed to prosecute crime and prevent terrorism.
Our unique program delivers advanced, technical infrastructure support for our customer and its relative nodes over the world. The team provides Software and System Engineering, Software and System Development and Operations (DevOps) services, Data Science, Big Data and Entity Resolution Engineering services advanced data discovery, analytics, exploitation, and visualization capabilities through application development and tools integration.
The Full Stack Developer (Big Data) will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Plans, directs, and coordinates all activities associated with creating software across multiple functional areas and products.
- Prioritizes and allocates projects, products, and resources with the assistance of architects and managers.
- Participates in the strategic decisions about technology, definition, and implementation of the software products.
- Makes employment decisions, such as hiring, rewarding.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of a multi-team or cross-functional organization.
- Directs software development projects to include, ensuring that projects are completed on time and according to quality standards, facilitating communication upward and across project team including project status, justifications for variances and technical information.
- Organizes projects through development of a project plan which includes communication of product goals as defined by top management, definition of project strategy, identification of the roles and responsibilities of key project groups, development of a schedule with key milestones, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of project resources.
- Monitors technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Active/Current Top-Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree with eight (8+) years of relevant experience; master’s degree with six (6+) years of experience PhD with three (3+) years of experience.
- At least eight (8+) years of development on large scale multi-tier/full-stack Enterprise applications.
- Excellent development experience with Python, Java, Scala.
- Experience with developing on AWS.
- Experience with designing and implementing Big Data and Data analytics pipelines, including processing of structured and unstructured data.
- Experience with data analysis, discovering data patterns and trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including reading comprehension, writing correspondences, and providing demos.
- Proficient with Databricks.
Desired Qualifications
- At least 10+ years of development on large scale multi-tier/full-stack Enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of data acquisition and ingestion of structured and unstructured data sources ensuring quality and data integrity.
- Experience with open-source technologies like Docker, ElasticSearch, and NoSQL Databases.
- Experience with AWS Lamda, SQS, or NiFi.
Salary Range Estimates:
The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Peraton’s total compensation package for employees. Target Salary Range
$112,000 – $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
