Functional Analyst
Job Description
Key Role:
Identify the customer’s data source requirements and apply data reconnaissance techniques. Build analytical workflows and methodologies using these data sources and create or implement new or existing tools and capabilities. Combine information from multiple sources to help the client understand their mission environment more effectively. Grow expertise, develop new skills, and share methodologies across DoD. Provide the right information at the right time to support the critical needs of our customers.
Basic Qualifications:
-
3+ years of experience providing operations or planning support to DoD
-
3+ years of experience with intelligence systems, domains, and analytical tools
-
3+ years of experience developing high-quality deliverables tailored to clients, including tactical and strategic levels
-
3+ years of experience acting as a liaison, interacting with executive-level clients, and facilitating communication and activities between disparate organizations to achieve strategic goals
-
Experience pitching innovative ideas to meet objectives
-
Ability to collaborate and innovate to solve problems
-
Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations up to 10% of the time

TS/SCI clearance
-
HS diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications:
-
Experience with JupyterHub or Jupyter Notebook

Experience as a data scientist or data analyst using data science tools and practices

Experience with programming in Python, R, or JavaScript
-
Experience with SQL, REGEX, or API Requests
-
Experience with ArcGIS Online or GEOINT tools

Experience using open-source research tools to support operational requirements

Experience providing technical support
-
Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts or principles

Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
