Location- Mumbai, India

Role Description

Trading Enabler is responsible for providing support in trade idea generation. Work includes: •Performing data analysis and identifying potential trading opportunities / trading strategies •analysing economic, industry, and company data and developing detailed financial models •Providing risk management support, including risk analysis •Scenario modelling for structured products •Reporting and trade capture; analysis of hedging strategies and rule based hedging •Building advanced quantitative models and automation tools for pricing

Your key responsibilities

  • Providing support to the onshore desk to review and analyse risk, financial resources, liquidity management, balance sheet management, loan / insurance modelling and pricing, regulatory requirements etc.
  • Analyzing Risk for Banking and Trading book positions on behalf of trading desks / onshore GFCT Risk desk on a daily basis with the view of maximizing synergies / benefits and minimizing risks / costs.
  • The candidate will be the day to day contact for onshore GFCT Risk team / desks (where applicable) and shall provide support to the desk in all risk / balance-sheet management efforts, system migrations, ad-hoc initiatives etc
  • Deal monitoring and modelling through the life of the transaction (post execution)
  • Contributing to the data model and analytics design upgrade development, working with other members of the FO Risk team to leverage existing risk MI datasources.
  • Working with GFCT’s trading desks to source data to populate the enhanced datamodel and develop efficient ongoing procedures for data maintenance.
  • Coordinating with the FIC client coverage management team on effective integration of results into wider client MIS and iterative development objectives.
  • The candidate is expected to develop a good understanding of the business and work proactively with colleagues on different initiatives.

Your skills and experience

  • Strong technical and quantitative academic background from a top tier business or engineering school
  • Experience of 4-5 years in a top tier bank or a financial institution would be preferred.
  • Good Analytical, Reasoning, Communication and Data Management skills. 
  • A highly motivated person with initiative, willingness to learn and actively blend with his/her onshore and offshore colleagues.
  • A good commercial sense and willingness to learn the industry practices.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
