📍 Location: South East England
💰 Salary: £37,000 – £38,000 + benefits

Our client is an award-winning technology company developing advanced software platforms used by organisations across the UK and internationally. Their environment combines deep engineering capability with commercial application across complex digital systems.

The business works at the intersection of AI, Machine Learning, NLP, IoT, SaaS platforms, Cloud infrastructure, IT Security, and Unified Communications technologies.

They are now seeking high-calibre STEM graduates to join the team as Graduate Technical Consultants, a role designed to develop into a Software Engineering / Software Development pathway.

Technology Exposure

Graduates joining the programme will work with technologies including:

  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

  • Natural Language Processing (NLP)

  • Machine-to-Machine (M2M) systems

  • SaaS and Cloud platforms

  • Unified Communications technologies

  • Contact Centre applications

  • IT Security and data infrastructure

  • Enterprise software applications

Over time the role will develop into a software development track, working with languages such as:

PHP | Python | TypeScript | React | JavaScript | C# | .NET | Java | C++

The Role – Graduate Technical Consultant

The role combines technical problem solving, investigation, and customer interaction within a highly technical environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Investigating and resolving complex technical issues across software platforms
• Structured technical analysis and fact-finding
• Working with software and hardware applications within enterprise systems
• Supporting engineering teams in analysing system behaviour and performance
• Communicating technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Maintaining strong client relationships through clear communication and technical understanding
• Contributing to ongoing system improvements and development initiatives

This position provides hands-on exposure to real production systems, offering an excellent foundation for a long-term career in software engineering and technical consulting.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking bright, analytical graduates who enjoy problem solving and working with complex technologies.

Requirements

• 2:1 or above in a STEM discipline such as:
Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Natural Sciences, or similar

• Strong academic background including A-Levels (A–B grades) or BTEC Distinction level

• Clear interest in software systems, technology platforms, and engineering environments

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge or exposure to programming languages
• Understanding of SQL or database query concepts
• Ability to explain technical ideas clearly
• Interest in software development and system architecture
