Data is the core asset for TransUnion CIBIL (TU CIBIL). All our products, solutions and analytics offerings are data driven. Inaccurate data impacts the credibility and accuracy of our offerings, thereby adversely impacting our brand value. This makes Data Quality Management (DQM) one of the most important functions for TU CIBIL. This role will lead DQM function. The key deliverables of the function are to identify inaccuracies in data submissions by putting in place enhanced checks and parameters, engage with lenders on how they can individually improve the quality of their data submissions, publish Data Quality Index (DQI) that provides a single measure on quality of data, and ensure data ingestion and maintenance as per regulatory guidelines.

What You’ll Bring:

Responsibility 1): Client and Regulatory Engagement

  • Identify and highlight inaccuracies in credit and ID data to clients and help them improve their reporting standards.
  • Conduct client workshops to give an overview of data quality standards.
  • Consult clients to embrace industry best practices in data quality by sharing peer benchmarking.
  • Interact with regulator and other relevant stakeholders on data quality standards, policies and processes.
  • Facilitate data quality recognition / awards for clients across various forums.

Responsibility 2): Data Quality Analytics

  • Create analytics driven Data Quality Index (DQI) across consumer, commercial and MFI bureau
  • Periodically publish regulatory and TU CIBIL DQI and data quality reports
  • Periodically review and enhance data quality parameters.
  • Apply Big data tools Spark/ HiveSQL / Pyspark/ SQL  to prepare meaningful stories related to quality and risk parameters
  • Create custom dashboards and MIS for top management

Responsibility 3): Operational Excellence

  • Formulate and implement policies and procedures for data quality management
  • Create tool / platform for members to access data quality reports and dashboards
  • Create a platform in collaboration with Tech team to perform data quality checks on trended data.
  • Conduct RCA and review mechanism for critical data fields.

Responsibility 4): Team Management

  • Lead DQM team team to deliver high quality and meaningful analyses.
  • Train / Coach the team on new techniques / technology to stay ahead of the curve
  • Retain key talent by providing best-in-class work experience and engagement.

Impact You’ll Make:

  • 12+ years of work experience in BFSI Domain
  • Qualification: Master’s degree in Business Administration / Analytics / Computer Application or a related field
  • Experience in lending products and analytics
  • Expertise in tools and technologies like SQL, R, Spark, Hive, Tableau etc.
  • Ability to lead and coach large team.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently, handle ambiguous situations and exercise judgement in variety of situations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, verbal & written skills.
  • High degree of responsibility and ownership, strong multitasking, coordination and tenaciously looking for ways to get results.
